The second anniversary of Boca Raton Championship Wrestling lived up to every bit of the hype Sunday night at the VIP Ballroom at CBI, with a packed house, two title changes, and one of the most stacked women's battle royales South Florida has ever seen.
In the main event, Steve Maclin captured the BRCW Heavyweight Championship, defeating Matt Taven in a brutal back-and-forth that pushed both men to their limits. The finish came after a near-twenty-minute war that saw Taven kick out of Maclin's KIA twice before a second attempt finally put him down for the three count. A new champion stood tall in Boca, and the title picture just got a lot more interesting.
Earlier in the night, Madisyn Maxxwell outlasted ten other competitors to win the Whole Lotta Women Battle Royale a star-studded showcase that brought Aleah James, Leva Bates, Lacey Lane, Harley Cameron, Deonna Purrazzo, and more into a single ring. The win earns Maxxwell a future shot at Shayna Baszler's Women's Championship, and based on what we saw, that's going to be a fight worth circling on your calendar.
The night also featured a tag team showcase, a high-flying cruiserweight clash, and a surprise appearance that had the Boca crowd on their feet from bell to bell.
